We live on a high-water table and when it rains, our sump pump runs non-stop. Our basement is finished, and I was worried about the sump pump not keeping up if we received a lot of rain and the possibly of ruining our finished basement. We decided to add another sump pump pit with 2 pumps and a battery backup. We also had them bury our down spouts further in the yard to get the water away from the house.
